Why Go? The Commodores are the Navy's jazz ensemble, a specialty unit of the United States Navy Band in Washington, DC. Expect to hear jazz, "big band," popular and patriotic music.

Why Go? This is the sixth annual Blankets of Hope marathon where volunteers make no-sew fleece blankets to be distributed to injured and sick U.S. soldiers. Last year, 200 volunteers reportedly came together to make 366 blankets.
Cost: Free, some supplies provided but you may also bring your own: 2 yards of printed fleece and 2 yards of a coordinating solid fleece, scissors and a ruler
Note: Donations also accepted and checks payable to "Soldiers Angels" can be mailed to Lisa Dodson at 12305 Chalford Ln., Bowie, MD 20715
When/Where: 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Pius X Regional School
Why Go? This is an opportunity to tour the school and visit information booths providing details about the application process along with school-sponsored organizations and clubs.

Why Go? This is the last weekend of the show—reviews have been good, and this murder mystery offers a fun departure from comedies and musicals.
