Update From Smith Shooting, Drugs Discovered
Former Georgetown Hoyas star and NBA player Charles E. Smith was shot twice in Bowie on Thursday, more details are arising as the investigation continues.
The Baltimore Sun is reporting that after a search of the Bowie home of former NBA player Charles E. Smith, police found large amounts of cocaine and have confirmed that the shooting was a result of Smith's involvement in gambling.
Smith played for the Boston Celtics and the Minnesota Timberwolves during his professional basketball career, and was also a member of the 1988 United States Olympic team that won a bronze medal.
