Monday: As I was at a Patch conference in New York for the beginning of the week, guest editor Nicky Cornelison looked after the site for me, and I wanted to thank her again for all her help. We had the second column from Sam Fatzinger about her favorite time of the year, a photo gallery and story from the newest addition to the Bowie Patch team, Nancy Royden, and a report on the BSU Bulldogs win on Senior Day.
Tuesday: We had a great photo gallery and article of the Octoberfest celebrations at the Bowie Farmers' Market.
Wednesday: We gave you a crime update with out police blotter, had John Rouse's mid-week column, this week about early voting, the first in our series of videos with O'Malley and Ehrlich, and a story from the Greater Annapolis Patch about a different way to celebrate Halloween.
Thursday: We had another Halloween photo gallery, from the CCPC "Trunk or Treat" event, the next part of the Ehrlich and O'Malley videos, and a report about Prince George's County Schools Superintendent William Hite Jr. as he heard from parents at a recent town hall meeting at Northwestern High School in Hyattsville. O'Malley also stopped by Bowie on Thursday night, we captured his speech with a video and checked in as early voting came to a close.
Friday: Sonia Dasgupta, editor of the Riverdale Park-University Park Patch shared a story about Hundred Natural Farms in Old Bowie bringing their produce to her neck of the woods and a recipe for vegetable quesadillas. We also had a report of a PGPD officer being arrested after stealing firearms, and the third in the series with Ehrlich and O'Malley, the final part of the videos will be posted in the morning.
Saturday: John Rouse's latest column went up last night, and Bowie High School's soccer team had their first, and last, playoff game in a 1-0 loss to Northwestern. We also had a report from Prince George's County Council, as they couldn't come to a decision on new regulations for storm water management.
Hope everybody had a safe Halloween, if you have any photos from the festivities, e-mail them to me at joshua@patch.com and we'll get them up on the site!
