Octoberfest, Art Festival, Post-Prohibition Evening and More in Prince George’s County this Weekend

Das Best Oktoberfest

    Where:   National Harbor waterfront, Lot G, National Harbor, Maryland 21211 

    When:  Saturday, Sept. 22 – Sunday, Sept. 23, Sat. 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sun. 12:00 noon – 6:00 p.m.

    Description:  Over 150 beers, wine and schnapps are served.   Festival to be held rain or shine and includes food, contests, entertainment and more.

    Pricing: Free entry includes souvenir tasting mug and 6 beer tokens.  Additional tokens may be purchased for $1.00 each.

     

    Memories of former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Mrs. Roosevelt

      Description:  The 75th Anniversary of Greenbelt is celebrated with an address from James Roosevelt.

      5th Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival

        When:  Saturday, Sept. 22, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

        Description:  Arts & craft show which includes live performances and local food and drink.

        Prince George's Cares Walk for the Homeless

          Where:  Allen Pond Park3330 Northview Dr, Bowie, MD 

          When:  Saturday, September 22, 2012, 9:30 a.m.

          Description:  Walk to raise awareness and funds for those in need.  Event will include music, Washington Wizards cheerleaders, giveaways and refreshments provided by Wegmans.   Donations are accepted for a youth fund.  Pre-register available at the following link: http://www.hthwalks.org

          The Rexford Revue: A Post-Prohibition Evening

            Where:  Greenbelt Arts Center123 Centerway, Greenbelt, MD

            When:  Thursday, September 27, 2012, 7:30 pm

            Description:  Celebration of the Greenbelt Museum’s 25th Anniversary includes Moonshine Cabaret,
