A Mitchellville man was robbed at gunpoint on Peach Walker Drive in Bowie on Friday, according to the Bowie police.
Police responded to a call for a robbery at the 15000 block of Peach Walker Drive at around 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The victim, a 27-year-old man, told police that he was walking through a field when he was approached by a man with a handgun.
The suspect demanded the victim’s possessions, and then began striking the victim, according to the police report. Following the assault, the suspect fled on foot down a bike path with the victim’s possessions.
Police secured the scene and a K-9 unit conducted a search of the area, but they were unable to locate the suspect.
The victim was treated for multiple contusions and the case remains under investigation.

Just remember... YOU, as a law-abiding citizen, can't legally carry a gun, even though HE is still out there, walking our neighborhood at-will, packing heat, robbing and assaulting as he likes.

You hit that one right on the nail head, and the criminals always will have guns, it is amazing that politicians think changing the laws for law abiding citizens is going to change the way criminals behave, just thank a democrat the when you or your family is shot and you have no means to protect yourself like they do across the river in Virginia
