Are we going to see any live reports from Allen Pond during the storm?

"Continuous" until the power goes out. :/
BTW--"Allen Pond" is in Bowie not Crofton. Lake Louise however is in Crofton. I truely WISH people would stop combining Crofton into Bowie.

Thanks @Lisa . I really hope the power stays on. I hear Hurricane Isabelle left Crofton in the dark for 4-5 days after the storm. @Joe Neighbor is "kind of" right. Crofton Patch is sharing the "live blog" with all of the Anne Arundel County Patches as well as two in Prince Georges (Bowie included). Sorry for the confusion guys. We're just working together to give our communities the best continuous coverage possible.

By the way, Lisa, the Allen Pond comment was just a little lighthearted joke. I didn't really expect to see the Patch staff watching the waves roll in at Allen Pond. It sounds like your complaint is with Patch for combining Bowie, Crofton and a host of communities onto this Live Blog. You should check out Bowie Patch sometime. We love to hear comments from our friends in Crofton, and we really don't mind it if someone confuses Crofton and Bowie! Have a nice day!

"Joe Neighbor" - Happy hurricane day to you also! Nothing personal- just makes me crazy when people lump areas together- especially when it's obvious the two "towns" don't even run together.

We have the best viewers here on Patch. Check out these videos from Crofton. I took one at 3pm and another at 5pm http://patch.com/A-l3qk. The bamboo along Rt 424/Davidsonville Road looks amazing.

@LLH my family is new to Bowie and we love it. After hearing a few comments similar to yours we decided earlier this summer to limit our spending to our community. We were spending A LOT of money in other towns including childcare in Crofton. Now we've moved our kids and money to Bowie. Nothing personal, but why spend your money in a community that doesn't want to be lumpped with us?
Power still on here. Stay safe everyone.

Nothing personal. It's just odd to lump totally separate town into one. It's like saying Millersville is Crofton. I guess I'm just used to having obviously separate towns (from the midwest) instead of all areas running together. And someone I work with always having negative comments to say... I apologize if I offended anyone. I spend $ in Bowie too...

Got a camera? Snap a pic for Patch. Hey sharpshooters, we're looking for your Hurricane Irene damage photos. Feel free to post them here or email your Patch Local Editor. I'm getting great pictures from Crofton and Gambrills residents. Check them out here patch.com/A-l3qk
