People fly in thier cars.Period. The sun can blind in this same area. That light has a camera -why? Because of speed and people either racing to get through the light or late hitting thier brakes. I feel for the families of the unseasoned drivers. I feel for the truck driver who was in the wrong spot @ a wrong time. People - if we are gonna act perfect -play the roll with-out errors. Slow down. Stop when you are supposed to. Go when you are supposed to. Remember no one owes you anything....You do not pay thier bills & they do not pay your's...Slow down!

I was a witness to this accident. I did not see the initial impact -- just the impact with the guard rail. From conversations with other witnesses, I'm not sure she was turning right. She may have been going straight, on a green light. I don't know whose fault it was. But her family is grieving, and the truck driver has to live with this forever. Have compassion.

Laeticia and Joseph, Your words are a bit harsh. Someone has lost a life today. And her family is grieving. You were not at the accident, so you don’t know who was in the right and who was in the wrong. Really… right now it doesn’t matter. Please be respectful. She was a good, kind, and loving person. Your unsympathetic words are inappropriate, especially on the day of her passing. Instead of calling her names, please pray for her family and friends as we mourn the loss of a beautiful soul who is gone too soon. Your family loves and misses you, Torre!!!

I came upon this accident immediately after it happened. It looked serious but I didn't know until now that there was loss of life. I'm so sorry . She was only 28. I can't imagine the pain of her loved ones right now. Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the broken-hearted"

Tayo. O
A bright smile, a wonderful spirit, and a gentle soul. You left a legacy of goodness in all of us. God giveth and God taketh. We cannot question him but, thank him for the wonderful flower he spread into our lives for a short time. We enjoyed the time. We will continue to cherish her memories in our hearts. May the almighty God guide and give his divine strength to her family, close relatives, and friends. May his comfort be their covering. We love you dearly Torrean and you will continue to be celebrated in our hearts. God loves you more and you are with him with that angelic smile. Rest in his peace, my little lady. YOU ARE AN AMAZING GRACE FROM ABOVE.

I am deeply hurt for these families. The driver's and the victom. I am in the Auto Body Repair industry....and since 1986 have seen the worst of situations...I am calling upon everyone to please monitor your driving. Slow down, wear your seat belts...know that there is always some one else out there who may not be as good as you are when it comes to the task of driving. I bid all involved God's peace. Joe B.

I did not witness the accident but drove past the scene and I was close to tears looking at the condition of the car. I prayed and asked God to have mercy on who ever the driver was. I'm a mother and grandmother, and I can't imagine what her family is going through. Psalms 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints." Portia W.

I feel for the family and pray that God will give them strength . This intersection is one of the most dangerous in PG county. Tractor trailers run the light all the time and also cars. I always wait until all cars have come to a complete stop even when someones honkin for me to go. RIP MISS RICH you were one of his angels. Gone too soon.

I witnessed the scene after the accident. I am so sorry to learn that this lovely person has been taken from her family and friends. This is the second Tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle accident that I have witnessed at this same intersection in the past two weeks. The Bowie Police Department needs to stop giving citations for cars in fire lanes and step up their presence where people are losing their lives.

I cannot begin to express how profoundly saddened I am by the loss of Torrean. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Torrean was a very special person, and I will always treasure the time that me and my staff spent with her and remember her fondly, especially her generous spirit and smile. I'm sure she that wherever she is now, she is spreading that same joy. We're all blessed to have known her.
I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy and the hope that the words of your family and friends will make this difficult time a bit easier to bear.
