A few events happening in and around Bowie the weekend of July 27-29.
Nature lovers, join entomologist for a Song of Insects Walk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in Baltimore at the Natural History Society of Maryland on 6908 Belair Rd. The event is free, but atendees are asked to RSVP online here or by calling 410-882-5376.
The Bowie Community Theater’s production of Love, Sex, & the IRS closes this weekend. The final shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights at the Bowie Playhouse. Tickets are $17 and can be purchased online here.
This Saturday is a great day for yard sale and flea market lovers in Bowie. There will be a multi-family yard sale 8 a.m to 11 a.m. at 2418 Pittland Ln., and a Fashionist Flea Market 9 a.m. to noon at 13604 Old Annapolis Rd.
The final show of Bowie’s free 2012 Saturday Concert Series will be this weekend, featuring the bluesy rock of Delta Loco at 2 p.m at the Town Green Park.
Summer produce is at its peak with tomatoes, peaches, watermelon and more in season. Check out the local produce on at the Bowie Farmers Market, 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at Bowie High School.
This Back Pages Band will be rocking 60s and 70s tunes at the Allen Pond Sunday Sunset Concert starting at 7 p.m. This concert is also free.
