Get Out: Shakespeare, a Campout, Teen Theater, and More

Patch rounds up a few events happening in Bowie this weekend.

 

The Annapolis Shakespeare Company’s production of The Comedy of Errors opens Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Bowie Playhouse, with additional shows at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online here.

The Bowie Baysox take on the Trenton Thunder in their home stand this weekend while hosting their annual family campout at the stadium on Friday. The campout will include fireworks and a family-friendly movie following the game. The event is open to all fans but space is limited so preregistration is required. Tickets are $7 with no additional charge for the campout. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. Check the Baysox website for more details.

If camping is not your thing, you can see the Baysox face off against the Thunder at 6:35 p.m. Saturday and 6:05 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for each game are $7 and can be purchased online.

Prince George’s Summer Teen Theater also has a show opening this weekend. Their production of 30 Reasons Not To Be in a Play opens at the Charis Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Friday.  There are additional shows this weekend at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.

The Bowie Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at Bowie High School.

The Allen Pond Sunday Sunset Concert Series continues this weekend with the Annapolis Bluegrass Coalition. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.
