Patch pulls together a few events you won't want to miss this weekend.
The Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee is hosting their Annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on Thursday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie. The featured speaker is the Hon. Doug Gansler. Tickets are $55.
Plant lovers won’t want to miss the Bowie-Crofton Garden Club’s 22nd Annual Plant Sale. The event is being held at the Bowie library on Saturday, April 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with plants starting as low as 50 cents.
The City of Bowie is having its annual Arbor Day Ceremony on Saturday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at Acorn Hill Park, where the city will receive a Tree City USA award for the twentieth consecutive year.
The Prince George’s Players will be presenting Noises Off on Saturday, April 28 at 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 29 at 3 p.m. The show follows the on-and-off stage antics of an acting troupe. The performances will be held at 7010 Glen Dale Road, Glen Dale, MD. Tickets are $15.
The Southern Maryland Hospital Center is hosting its fourth annual Heart & Health Expo on Saturday, April 28, from 8 a.m. to noon at 7401 Surratts Road, Clinton, MD. Mardi Gras Health & Fitness will be providing free workout demonstrations.
