Prince George's County Fire Department quickly extinguished a car on fire today in the garage of a home in the 4500 block of Holmehurst Way West in Glenn Dale.

The initial report was of a two story home with an attached garage showing smoke. When firefighters arrived they found a car on fire in a basement level garage, according to Prince George’s County Fire Department Spokesperson Mark Brady.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly and contain the damage to the garage, according to Brady.
