Fire Damages Bowie Assisted Living Home

The structure was safely evacuated.

 

Flames swept through the attic of a Bowie assisted living home Saturday morning, Gazette.Net reports.

Firefighters responded to the scene at 4702 Rocky Spring Lane around 11:20 a.m. According to the paper, they encountered heavy smoke pouring out from the attic.

The building was safely evacuated, the Gazette reports, and firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
