Farms Share Fresh Produce Directly with Consumers
Pay an upfront fee to local farmers and get a share of the harvest in return.
Are you looking for a way to ensure you have fresh produce all summer long? The Maryland Department of Agriculture encourages residents to join a community supported agriculture (CSA) farm.
Here's how it works: CSA members pay an upfront subscription fee in return for a share of the farm's harvest, which is usually provided weekly and delivered to central locations on a specific date for pickup. To find a CSA farm, go to www.MarylandsBest.net.
