Over rooftops, schools and monuments - kids, school teachers, moms and fans came outside to see and photograph Discovery in its D.C. area flyover.

It is amazing to see what we can accomplish with technology for the peaceful and cooperative exploration of space. I hope everyone who felt their spirit soar with Discovery on its last flight will support NASA's future missions and never give up the dream -- to boldly go where no one has gone before!
