Bowie Man Dies in Cement Truck Collision

Tyronski Johnson, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene after his car collided with a cement truck on Landover Road on Monday.

A Bowie man was killed Monday when his car collided with a cement truck on Landover Road, according the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD).

Tyronski Johnson, 37, the driver of the car, was confirmed dead at the scene. Two passengers in the vehicle with Johnson at the time of the crash remain in serious condition, said police.

A PGPD spokesperson told WUSA9 that a Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed on Landover Road first struck an arrow directing traffic around construction before colliding with a Ford Expedition, and ultimately crashing into a cement truck.

The accident, which occurred shortly before noon on Monday, closed down Landover Road near Firehouse Road in both directions for several hours hours.
