Bowie Baysox Host Summer Reading Night
TNT Impact professional wrestler Zema Ion also will be on hand signing autographs at the game.
Young readers and wrestling fans alike won't want to miss the Bowie Baysox game on Sunday, where there will be a parade, giveaways, fireworks, professional wrestler Zema Ion and Captain Underpants.
The first 1,000 kids ages 3 to 14 to arrive at Sunday’s game will receive a copy of the widely popular children’s book, Captain Underpants. They also will get the chance to meet the character at the game.
Kids who attend the game will receive prizes, and also get the chance to participate in a parade on the field before the game. The kids will be joined by Baysox mascot Louie and library mascot Sneaks. Hayes said they typically have a few hundred kids attend the event.
As if Captain Underpants weren't enough, professional wrestler Zema Ion also will be at Sunday's game, participating in promotions and signing autographs for fans.
Those who stay until the end of Sunday night’s game against the Binghamton Mets also will get to see fireworks.
Children interested in participating in the parade should line up by the carousel at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at about 5:15 p.m.
The first pitch for Sunday’s game is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
